Located just east of Delaware Stadium, Grant Stadium is a premier outdoor competition venue and the dedicated home of the Blue Hens men’s and women’s soccer programs and women’s outdoor track & field team.
Elite Playing Surface: The stadium features a professional-grade natural Bermuda grass field, widely recognized as one of the finest natural playing surfaces in the region. The field is equipped with a high-performance drainage and irrigation system to maintain championship conditions year-round.
Track & Field Excellence: Surrounding the pitch is a quarter-mile, eight-lane Beynon all-weather track with a high-performance blue embedded surface. The facility includes specialized areas for field events, including pole vault, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
Seating & Atmosphere: Following a major renovation in 2014, the stadium’s capacity was expanded to 1,400 spectators. The elevated grandstands provide excellent sightlines for fans, and the venue is equipped with a modern sound system and a state-of-the-art Daktronics videoboard.
Broadcast & Media Ready: To support high-level regional and televised events, the stadium features a 48-foot, climate-controlled press box that accommodates up to 24 people, topped with a dedicated tower platform for film and television crews. The venue is fully lighted by six Musco lighting poles with 92 fixtures for night competitions.
