The Delaware Field House is a cornerstone of the university's athletic history, having evolved from a premier basketball arena in the 20th century to a vital multi-sport indoor training and competition hub today.
Indoor Turf Facility: The center of the Field House features a 70-yard indoor turf field, providing an elite, climate-controlled environment for training and competition. The field is professionally lined for Football, Soccer, and both Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, ensuring that Blue Hen teams can maintain peak performance year-round, regardless of outside weather conditions.
Specialized Equipment: To support a wide variety of sports, the facility is equipped with drop-down batting cages for baseball and softball, as well as integrated soccer goals. It also houses a dedicated Erg Room for the rowing program.
Capacity & Amenities: The Field House includes a seating section for approximately 500 spectators, making it an intimate venue for smaller competitions and showcases. Beyond the field, it serves as the primary home for administrative offices and specialized locker rooms for the Tennis, Rowing, Baseball, and Men’s Lacrosse programs.
